STABL WV 2008: Enabling engineers to perform state-of-the-art slope stability analysis

Stabl Logo

TerraWiz STABL WV 2008 is a state-of-the-art Windows-based slope stability software that retains all the tradition features of stabl that the geotechnical community has come to value over the almost 30 years of experience with STABL algorithms. Engineers can still open and save the traditional text input files (with the advantage that old input files are error-checked upon opening) and perform Bishop, Janbu and Spencer analyses of slopes with a variety of inclusions. Additionally, the powerful data-processing, visualization and reporting tools of STABL WV 2008 lead to time savings and confidence in the results of each analysis.

Some of the advantages of STABL WV 200
8 include:

  • handles tiebacks, nails, grids/plane reinforcements, piles
  • piles are handled with a smart algorithm that automatically calculates pile resistances
  • easy transfer of data across analyses (for example, from Bishop to Spencer) so that no data reentering is required
  • real-time visualization of slope geometry, soil profile, water table and inclusions as data is inputed
  • unit conversion
  • report preparation tool
  • plot features such as zooming allows checking the correctness of data entered by zooming in or removing and adding back specific items (for example, a boundary segment) from the slope plot
  • button to stop analyses (useful if a very large number of slip surfaces are being analyzed, when an analyses could last minutes in a typical computer)
  • fully functional Windows application, which will not freeze while running
  • extensive feedback through helpful messages during data entry and processing of analysis results
  • detailed manual
  • remotely checks for availability of software updates
  • unmatched user friendliness
  • works with Microsoft Windows Vista
  • and much more...
